The pointed, sharp stainless steel head cuts effortlessly through tough terrain — moving stones and roots aside rather than stopping at them, making it exceptional for hard or rocky Australian soils. The mirror-polished finish resists rust and ensures smooth, clean movement through the ground, while wide treads at the top of the blade protect your feet during deeper digging.
The FSC certified hardwood handle features a comfortable 'Y' grip, double riveted at the base for strength. An extra-long, double-riveted strapped socket adds both strength and a critical element of flex at the key joint. This spade has been independently tested to a breaking strain of 90kg — well above the British standard of 55kg.
